DAR Van Bunschooten Museum

The Daughters of the American Revolution proudly maintain the home of area farmer, mill operator and Dutch Reformed minister Reverend Elias Van Bunschooten that was built in 1787. Van Bunschooten’s estate once spanned over a thousand acres, including parts of Pleasant Acres. The house has been refurbished and redecorated with items of daily life from throughout the 18 and 19 century. There are a variety of events held throughout the summer as well. The museum is open for tours from May 15–October 15, on Thursdays and Saturdays, 1:00 – 4:00 pm, and also by appointment.
