One of the wonderful aspects of camping in the New Jersey Skylands Region is nature and it’s seasons. Pleasant Acres is a perfect camping destination to enjoy any of the seasons. Near the heart of the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Tri-States, Pleasant Acres is a great winter get-away for anyone with an RV in the NY-NJ Metro area.
Winter seems to be coming a bit late this year, but that just means that there is more time to make some plans for some winter camping fun!
In addition to our own Winter Schedule of Activities a lot of great businesses and organizations in our area are hosting all sorts exciting events!
January 30th: Friends of High Point State Park is holding their Winter Festival, including fun activities for the kids, crafts, snowshoeing and ice fishing demonstrations. High Point State Park is just a few minutes from Pleasant Acres and is a favorite attraction among our guests. The event is at the Interpretive Center starting at noon and goes until 3pm.
January 30th & 31st: Westtown Brew Works will be hosting their first “On Ice” Winter Festival. Westtown Brew Works is one of the many local breweries, wineries and distilleries popping up in our area, which has a very rich argicultural heritage. The brewery is only about 15 minutes from the campground, just over the border in New York State. There will be local tastings, live music and more!
Feburary 5th-28th: Skylands Stadium presents Frozen In Ice. This indoor/outdoor event will include ice sculptures, an ice cabin, an ice bar and even an ice slide! Through Febuary 7th, you can get special tickets to the event that include tickets for a baseball game this summer with the Sussex Miners- our local minor league team!
Of course, there is always something to do in and around Pleasant Acres. Come camp and stay for one of our Sunday morning breakfasts. Take a hike in one of the many federal, state and local parks nearby. Build a toasty campfire at your campsite and gaze at crystal clear night skies.
With so many events going on in the coming months, why wait out the weather to have some winter camping fun? Reserve a site today!
