Weekly Summer Activities

Each week throughout our summer season, we play host to our guests in a variety of ways. It is our goal to to make for a memorable camping vacation for  you and your family, whenever and for however long you stay.

Horse-drawn Hayrides

Our team of Belgian draft horses, lead us around the campgrounds in our old-fashioned wagon, driven by one of our family members. With weather permitting, meet at the Hayride Barn on the Playground at 11am every Saturday all summer long, where we will continue until everyone has had a turn. If the horses are simply unavailable or weather isn’t permitting, an antique tractor may be used in their stead. Missed hayrides on Saturday? That’s okay- for a large part of the season we also offer Hayrides on Wednesday Evenings!

Baby Animal Petting

Get up close with the baby animals born here on the farm- from the time they are born through the end of the season. The animals we have out to meet and greet our guests changes but they can range from bunnies, to lambs, to ponies. Maybe your kids can meet our baby goats- also known as kids! Baby animal petting starts at 10 am on the Playground lawn. This is a real photo opportunity.

Run by our close family friends for decades, Ceramics is a time for the whole family to relax and create. Some of the projects can be completed in just one night. Held at 8pm on Friday nights throughout the summer season and Thursday nights mid-season, ceramic instruction and detail paints are free. Come purchase a piece and paints and make something to take home.

Paint Parties

Paint Parties are a wonderful way to relax and unwind, spend quality time with your children and take home a souvenir of your stay! Each Sunday at 2pm all season, our family guides you in creating a canvas for yourself.  A theme having to do with the local flora or fauna or farm life is different each week and campers are guided step-by-step! You can also choose another pre-sketched design or design your own in open studio! Paint Party costs $10 per canvas to cover supplies. Make your mark, make your masterpiece, take it home!

Evening Entertainment

Every Saturday night throughout the season, we have Evening Entertainment in our Pavilion. On holiday weekends (Memorial Day, Fourth of July Live, Labor Day) we offer Sunday Evening Entertainment as well. Live bands are mixed in to a varied schedule that includes DJ’s, Educational shows and line dance lessons. Check out our Schedule of Activities for details!

Air Shows

Many Saturdays and some evenings campers are treated to a one-of-a-kind airshow by owner Richard Denman. Flying out of Sussex Airport, Richard puts on a display of aerobatic skills ranging from barrel rolls to hammerheads above our farm fields. Though not on the schedule, and subject to a variety of factors, it is not-to-be-missed Watch the store door to see if he will be performing during your stay.

Between Fourth of July Weekend and Labor Day Weekend we offer Daily Activities:

Evening Swim

During the dog days of summer, every Monday we open our Pool for extended hours until 10:30. The pool will be illuminated. Come by for the thrill of nighttime swimming.

Trivia Challenge

After soup is served mid-season on Tuesday nights, we test our campers knowledge of the world in a competitive, fun-filled match. Each week we pick a different category. Teams compete to be winner of the night, but also for the tournament win at the end of the season.

On Wednesday,  we offer Evening Hayrides and on Thursday night we offer Ceramics.

Check out our Schedule of Activities to see when we offer Free Meals to our Campers.

During your stay in the hieght of our season, you will have the opportunity to several free scheduled dinners at 6:30pm in our Pavilion . We provide a great base, but many of our guests bring their own additions to make the meal even that much more special. From early July through early September, we serve up some of our favorites. Tuesdays are Soup Night before our Trivia Challenge. On Wednesdays we cook up a Spaghetti dinner, with our own homemade sauce. Thursday nights alternate between Noodles and Gravy, Macaroni and Cheese and Homemade Chili. Please bring your own utensils and see the schedule or inquire at the Office for details.
