Pleasant Acres is open year round for family fun. We know that no matter what time of year it is, sometimes one must just get away for some rest and relaxation. Though it is not our busy season, there is still a lot to do here during the winter.
As the snow comes and it gets colder, Pleasant Acres offers families a place to get out and enjoy the season. We offer a sled-run hill and great terrain for cross-country skiing. If you are more into alpine skiing, New Jersey's premier ski and snowboard park, Mountain Creek, is less than a half hour away in Vernon. As our 3- acre lake freezes up, we clear off the snow to make a nice sized skating area. (Please note that a green flag indicates safe ice; a red one indicates "no skating.") There is plenty of winter fun is to be had, out in the crisp, fresh air.
Come up to Sussex County to find that perfect family Christmas tree, drink some cocoa and snuggle to a warm campfire.
Whether it is playing in the snow, enjoying the farm animals or visiting some of our state parks nearby, your stay at Pleasant Acres will be just as memorable in the winter, as it is in the summer!
